"Health is wealth," as the saying goes. And that's what KCC Malls embraces, boosting health equity through medical undertakings.

In partnership with the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, over 300 families in Prk. 5 Rajah Muda Bula and Purok Sarif Mucsin, Lower Baluan, General Santos City were given free medical check-up and medicines on June 6 and June 18, 2011 respectively.

This social action of KCC Malls is an abrupt response to the call of medical attention for underprivileged families who are deemed measured incapable of bringing themselves and/or their children for a medication.

Notwithstanding the complexities brought by the heavy downpours that have caused the rivers to swell and its waters to overflow, the KCC Malls have reached its helping hands to the families of submerged municipality of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat and barangays in Cotabato City.

KCC Malls along with its Rescue and Relief Operation Team have distributed bags of rice, canned goods, drinking water, and other aids to over 600 affected families of Barangay Tamontaka and Barangay Rosario Heights 6, Cotabato City, June 23, 2011. 

On the team's way back to General Santos City, there were a hundred home-based flood victims sited somewhere along the boundaries of Cotabato City and Maguindanao that were also given aid.

KCC Malls then headed to the low-lying village of Udtong, Lambayong Sultan Kudarat the next day, June 24, 2011 through bancas, sailing into what was said "ricefield-turned-river" and conducted aid operation that benefited 300 families. Along with bags of blankets, clothes, and other goods distributed by KCC Malls, Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, and other private sectors have conducted Medical Mission, providing the victims free medical check-up and medicines.

KCC Malls growing aim of providing sustainable and innovative solutions to societal challenges will rest uninterrupted and vast.

Fostering community learning as one of KCC Malls' civic mission, the company answered the call of educational assistance in the far-flung Barangay Conel, General Santos City. Antonino G. Busano Sr. High School, as KCC Malls' recipient of 10 sets of computers, expressed their deepest gratitude during their Acceptance and Turn-Over Ceremony held at their school covered court, July 8, 2011. The said sets of computers will benefit over 600 indigent students and would surely of great help in their educational accomplishments.

KCC Malls, as a socially responsible company, uplifts each and every child's lives through providing sustainable assistance in their education. For the company believes in the prominent Filipino adage, "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan".

One of KCC Malls continuing outreach efforts is the support for education. Preserving this affirmation, KCC Malls have shelled out new and quality school bags to the upland schools of Alabel and General Santos City. This action aims to send unfortunate students to school with heads held high, decreasing the number of absences and dropouts.  With the educational support that KCC Malls has given to Datu Abdullah Tondog Elementary School and Sarif Mucsin Elementary School, students are expected to gear up perseverance in finishing their studies.

Education has always been the greatest weapon in defeating fraud and any forms of harm. It is the only treasure that one can keep on his own and is impossible for others to take away. KCC Malls believe in this idea and it would always be part of the company's civic responsibility.
